Is online course self-paced?

The courses are self-paced.

Are there specific login or online participation times?

There are many scheduled interactive Workshop events. See Workshop Events to register and access sessions/dates/times of interactive events.

How do I access my courses?

Click your name at the top right corner of the site to  access your profile. Your courses are listed in your profile.

How are my assignments turned in?

Assignments are uploaded and are made available to the instructor. Include your name, course and date.

How do I access the quizzes?

The quizzes can be found within the course curriculum.

How do I access live interactive learning with instructor?

Laboratory learning solutions offers Workshop events for many courses. These workshops hosted by the instructor are included in the course. The intent of the workshops is for the Learner to apply lessons learned to their workplace. See events for session time/dates. Workshop Events.

How do I interact with my instructor?

Is there interaction with other online students?

Yes, you can interact by the email feature.

How much time and work are involved for courses?

Each course includes the number of contact hours. This is the average time it will take to complete the course.

Do I need to buy any textbooks or other course materials?

No. Video presentations, course material and articles are provided within the course with exception of the certificate programs. The certificate programs may include a book for additional learning.

What is the computer software/hardware requirements?

Computer Specifications
The browsers supported by the Learning Management System include Chrome or Firefox. We recommend updating to the newest version of whatever browser you are using as well as the most up-to-date Flash plug-in.

Can I access the course from any computer?

Yes. As long as it meets the minimum requirements you can access your course from anywhere you have access to the Internet (i.e. at home, at work, on the road, public library).

How do I activate my account?

You will receive a welcome email after registration with instructions how to activate your account.

How do I change/reset my password?

Go to the log in, click reset my password and follow the directions on the email.

I’ve already started the course but will be unable to meet the deadline, can I get an extension?

Can I get an extension if I haven’t started the course, but I still want to take it?

Yes, email your instructor for assistance.

What is your refund policy?

Refunds for online courses are only given under the following circumstances:

The student/user did not access any portion of the online course AND the student/user requests a refund by email/contact or 734 678 1529 within seven business days from the date of the registration (email notification sent). There will be no refunds for any online courses once a course has been accessed in any manner.
A full refund will be issued less the administrative fee of 3%.
