Kaizen is a term coined by the Lean transformation discipline to mean continuous improvement across all silos and all levels of staff. Kaizen, a Japanese word “Kaizen” is translated as change (“Kai”) for the better (“Zen”) refers to daily small improvements and adjustments that collectively add up to ground-breaking excellence. In this course we will learn a rapid improvement methodology focused on improving a process or family of processes within a short period of time. It allows laboratory teams of trained individuals to carry out improvements in a structured and innovative environment and reduce the potential for catastrophic chaos.
